Many people dont think they need a good realtor, but when you do need one and you dont have one, it is often too late. Kris helped my mother sell her house after my father passed away. I moved my mother back to my house on the mainland and helped get the house ready by packing up my mothers possessions. Kris helped throughout this process. Once I was back in California, Kris keep working on the sale. We accepted a bid, but the inspection found the roof was defective. We fell out of escrow as the roof needed to be replaced. We received multiple offers but all requiring a new roof installed. The bids were well below our ask, so we had to bit the bullet and replace the roof. Although this was an expensive repair, Kris advised us this would be the best way to go financially so we didnt have to go with a lowball offer. All of this happened during Covid, so it was very challenging to deal with this process while trying to run my own business in CA. Kris had multiple roof bids and a roofing inspection done to show me the roof was in need of replacement due to a defective shingle (verified by researching online through a manufacturer class action settlement). We had to install a new roof, but also detach and reset solar panels, pool solar, and a solar water heater. Kris oversaw this entire process while we were back in California. I believe my mothers house would be an easy sale, but you never know what an inspection will turn up or how the market can change over night. I am an insurance agent and get much of my business from realtor referrals. I know exactly why you hire a good realtor that has experience and a solid reputation. We researched Kris before we hired her and only found positive comments from locals we trust. I never thought my mothers sale would be such a challenge, but that is why having someone like Kris in your corner is worth every penny you pay her. Kris earned every dollar of her commission and I am grateful for her perseverance. I dont think the sale would have happened with an average realtor. Dont make the mistake of hiring a discount or part time realtor. Hire Kris and you wont regret it.
